About the TINY Blog

From WNBC.com… The TINY Blog launched on June 17, 2005. A look back at the archives shows a broad range of topics from wide variety of journalists. It’s not always easy to tell which posts will generate the most reaction (Tom Cruise, Transit Strike) but comments are always welcome.

  1. Ok I am a little confused. I try to watch Today in New York everyday. But some how I missed the fact that Rob morrison is gone!!! What happened? Where did he go??? Now Darlene has been gone. Where is she?? Too much change!! Ha Ha! The morning doesn’t seem the same. Good luck to Rob. Will miss ya

  2. I enjoyed early morning news with Rob Morrison’s whit. Now it is just any other early show. My morning coffee doesn’t taste the same.

  3. Shame on TINY–this morning in a short item reporting that this is supposed to be the “Happiest Day of the Year”, the new stand in for Darlene reported this item was based on a report from “Cardiff University in England”. Since when has Cardiff, the capital of WALES, been moved to England? Wales is part of the United Kingdom but not part of England!

  4. Rob,
I was so sad to learn that you have left TINY. When Michael stopped saying “in for Rob Morrison”, I started to wonder and checked the blog and finally understood. Why was nothing said on TINY about your leaving? I have enjoyed you from the first time I saw you on LIVE at 5, when you were a reporter and then on TINY. I wish you the best in whatever you move on to do and would like to say that you will be missed. I wish you and your family good luck and health.

  5. I enjoyed the fun that Rob, Otis, Chris and Darlene seemed to have with one another and at one another’s expense. I am sure that the replacement will be just as good. I wish that I had known that Rob was leaving. Where did he land? cd

  6. Can someone please tell the viewers where Darlene Rodriguez is?

  7. We enjoyed watching you in the mornings when our family visited New York. We wish you well on you new adventures and look forward to seeing you on the air soon. Good luck and best wish, from the heart of Texas

  8. Rob, I truly miss seeing you every morning. You along with Darlen, Otis & Chris made the day so much easier to start. I view from Bermuda, haing lived in NYC for ten years and found that you guys made me feel as if I were still there. So sad that NBC did have the grace and courtesy to give you a proper send off and did not allow your fans the time to say goodbye. Best wishes in your future endeavours and God Bless you and your family.

  9. First Rob, now Darlene? And where is Otis? And, although the traffic reporter seems very nice, WHY does she warrant a “spot” at the news desk? You have completely ruined by morning routine and I am SURE you have lost hundreds of viewers. Your “new” show does not have any of the personality it USED to, there doesn’t seem to be much comraderie, it is boring and just plain “news”. Shame on you!!! You have lost a loyal viewer!

  10. So where is Otis now! No one even mentions his name and sports on TINY are almost non-existent. If NBC has showed him the same door as Rob, then I am done. Are we so groggy in the morning that we are not supposed to notice? I can’t stand the goofy subpar cast that has been “filling in”. Maurice, here I come.

  11. Every morning I watch the Today in New York crew for the latest in news, weather, and traffic. I have noticed lately that Otis Livingston has not been there to report news in sports. Instead there is a taping of Len Berman. Can you please tell me if Otis is returning? I miss him. He is part of the TINY team, and it doesn’t seem right without him. I would be very grateful if I received a response from WNBC NEWS. Thank you for this opportunity.

  12. Where is Otis? And what is the story with Darlene? WHERE IS SHE??? And please, does the traffic girl really need to be part of the “team” – not to mention, the constant babbling comments are annoying.
