Our most popular story on the web today is the double murder-suicide of pro-wrestler Chris Benoit and his family. I’m puzzled by the way this tragedy is being covered World Wrestling Entertainment.
Authorities believe Benoit, a WWE employee, murdered his wife and son before taking his own life. Yet, the WWE’s official website is offering Benoit Photos, Benoit Videos as well as a full-blown Benoit Retrospective, as if he were a hero instead of a psychopath. They even preempted regular WWE TV programming last night for a 3-hour Benoit special.
I’ve never understood the mentality behind this fake sport, today more than ever.

Agreed. It’s a sad story, but I think a tribute is premature.
Perhaps those webpages and the three hour tribute were scheduled and programmed prior to the release of the info that it was a murder – suicide? Otherwise it makes no sense…
